About me

About Me

I began my PhD studies at the Department of Public Health Sciences at Stockholm University in September 2023. My doctoral research is part of the project “How are young people with mental health problems doing later on? A prospective cohort study of self-reported mental health problems in adolescence and living conditions in young adulthood” (MAPS), which utilises data from the Futura01 cohort (www.futura01.se).

Before starting my PhD, I worked as a research assistant from 2020 to 2023, focusing on adolescent health and health risk behaviours. My research has explored the relationship between adolescents’ mental health and school conditions, the living conditions of children and adolescents to problem-drinking parents, as well as adolescent gambling and alcohol use.

Research

My current research examines the long-term consequences of mental health problems in adolescence. The aim of my doctoral project is to investigate whether self-reported psychosomatic complaints during adolescence are associated with future psychiatric care utilisation, educational attainment, and labour market participation.
