I am a research engineer and Laboratory Safety Coordinator at IGV.

My duties are:

• Responsible for laboratories and analytical instruments in the Geochemistry Group (floor 3), except SIL and Ultra.
  
• Maintenance, calibration, quality control, and method development for instruments, support and introduction for users.
  
• Chemical management (assistance with purchasing, storage, documentation, and risk assessment).
  
• Handling of gas cylinders and gas consumption.
  
• Introductions for new staff and students.
  
• Support for researchers and students in lab/field work.
  
• Overall responsibility for laboratory safety issues at IGV (internal and external contact person).
  
• Department representative in Stockholm University’s laboratory safety network.
  
• Administrator for the KLARA chemical database.
  
• Responsible person for flammable goods.
  
• Health and safety representative.
  
• Technical and administrative staff representative on the IGV board.
