About me
I am a sociologist working at the Department of Human Geography at Stockholm University. My research interests include inter-group attitudes and the role of contextual effects in social cohesion, attitude formation and political behaviour. I received my DPhil from Nuffield College, Oxford University.
I work with Swedish register data, in my work I have looked at the impact of diversity and labour market experiences on radical right-wing candidacy, geographical polarization and segregation and the impact of COVID-19 on residential mobility patterns.
I worked as part of the following research projects:
- How neighbourhood, school and crime redirect the individual’s life course
- Disentangling segregation at different scales: The role of intergenerational transmission, household mobility and housing development
- Labeling Neighborhoods: Assessing the neighborhood level impact of vulnerable area designations on health, crime, and trust
- Spatial integration and segregation: Disadvantaged groups in Sweden in the 2000s
- The Neighbourhood Revisited: Spatial polarization and social cohesion in contemporary Sweden
- Divorce in old age: Predictors and consequences of late life divorce
- Rethinking Integration: a comparative mixed methods study of civil society action in vulnerable superdiverse neighbourhoods in Sweden
- The role of civil society in supporting migrants’ labour market participation in diverse areas: A comparative study of Sweden and the United Kingdom
