About me

My foremost interests are in studying homelessness from the perspective of critical urban theory. I am particularly interested in how new urban imaginaries intersect with questions of citizenship and consumption to reproduce conflicts over the use of urban public space by the homeless. Previous research has addressed these questions in relation to the lives of Romanian Roma groups in Stockholm.

I have a masters degree from Stockholm University in Globalization, Environment and Social Change and an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of York.

Current teaching responsibilities at the Department of Human Geography include the courses ‘Urbanisation and Environment’ (Second Cycle) and ‘Challenges of Planning in the Global South’ (First Cycle).
