About me
I am an associate professor and senior lecturer of economic history. My research focuses on the role of gender and sexuality in the construction of markets, as well as the interconnections between advertising and mass media. I have explored topics such as market segmentation, shop window displays, World War II consumer culture, and business histories of pornography and advertising. Currently, I am involved in two research projects examining notions of nation, gender, and sexuality in the transborder business of post-war Baltic Sea passenger ferry traffic.
