About me

I am a PhD candidate in Chinese studies at the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies at Stockholm University. I hold a parallel M.Phil. (2014) in Chinese Society and Politics from Oslo and Zhejiang University. I have been working at Stockholm University since Autumn 2015.

My current research focuses on identity and narratives among minorities in Northwest China.

My M.Phil. was concerned with the migrant population of Hui in the urban areas of Eastern China. The research received financial support from the Norwegian Center of Human Rights as well as the 985 project of Zhejiang University.

I was rewarded the Price of Excellence (2013) from CCTV and the Norwegian-Chinese Contemporary Literature Translation Prize (2015) from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing.
