About me

PhD student in Subject Didactics, religion, at Stockholm university since 2014. Adjunct in Comparative Religious Studies at Karlstad university since 2012. Co-responsible for Karlstad university's study center in Varanasi, India.

Religion is a exciting subject, one facet of it being how differently it's handled around the world. This is evident, for example, when looking at youth education. There are, for instance, certain goals one seeks to achieve with the Swedish school subject of `knowledge of religion' (religionskunskap). Similar content and goals can be found in, say, the Indian educational system. But it is organized in a quite different way. One difference is there not being a particular school subject covering "religion"; instead the topics and goals (found in Sweden's `knowledge of religion') are situated in subjects such as History, Hindi, and Peace... This is what I'm researching as my PhD project.
