Linnéa Bruno

I hold a PhD in sociology and am associate professor in child and youth studies. My research interests concern knowledge production, politics and professional practice around children, young people and families, legal and social policy, as well as people's experiences, not least in relation to the welfare state's handling of violence and violence prevention. 

Empirically, I have investigated how children are positioned in family law and other contexts, how the administration of violence contributes to continued vulnerability and undermining of the state's monopoly on violence in several areas of practice in the welfare state, how social workers deal with fathers who seek support, how children and young people talk about and understand violence, and the conditions for the school's violence prevention work.
