About me

I work as research officer and manage the Doctoral School in the Humanities. The best way to get in touch with me is by e-mail.

During my last engagement as teacher I taught the courses Attic drama and Greek Tragedy — Euripides at the Department of Romance and Classics.

I have several years of experience in teaching in classical languages, on university level as well as upper secondary school (gymnasiet). University courses I have taught include grammar, epic, historians, drama, rhetoric and ancient history.

Apart from my assignment as research officer I also do research in Ancient Greek. I finished my PhD, a linguistically oriented account of the interjections in Ancient Greek, in 2012. It has now been published by Mouton De Gruyter as Greek Interjections — Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics. My present projects include humanist greek in Sweden and translation of ancient comedy.

Interjections in Ancient Greek have long lacked a comprehensive account, despite their frequent occurrence in major texts. The present study of their semantics and pragmatics, encompassing all items encountered in Greek drama from the 5th century BC, applies a moderate minimalism, theory-driven method. Readers are offered a thorough and detailed study of this elusive, and in several respects deviant, class of linguistic items.
