About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher on the DEMCOOP project at the Department of Political Science. Prior to joining the department, I completed my PhD studies at the World Trade Institute (University of Bern) investigating to which extent democratic countries successfully diffused democratic norms in the realm of trade policy.

My main research interests lie in understanding what are the underlying mechanisms of international (non-)cooperation between countries of different regime types, and the effects of such (non-)cooperation. I am also passionate more broadly about international political economy, research methods, and coding.

Previously, I was a 2024-2025 GPEP Affiliate Fellow at the Mortara Center for International Studies, Georgetown University (USA). Prior to joining academia, I worked as an assistant economist at the UK Government Economic Service.
