About me

Research Interests

I am captivated by the power of interviews and the enchantment of human encounters. My research interest lies in how each story we tell or hear is a co-creation, where experiences are reinterpreted and meaning emerges in the act of narration.

Background

I hold a Master’s degree in International and Comparative Education from Stockholm University. In my Master’s thesis, Between suffering and responsibility: navigating experiences of Ukrainian refugee teachers in Poland and Sweden, I employed narrative interviews and applied the concept of liminality to interpret lived experiences. This work laid the foundation for my PhD project.

PhD Project

Exploring the interplay of aging and learning: narrative identities of older Ukrainian refugees in Sweden.

This project is in its early stage and aims to investigate the learning experiences of older Ukrainian refugees in Sweden. Through narrative biographical interviews, I plan to explore how older refugees from Ukraine weave together past, present, and future in their learning journeys in Sweden shedding light on both the challenges they face and the strategies they develop.
