Consumer Culture Theory Research Group

What unites the researchers in this research group is that we share a vision of consumer culture as the interconnected system of commercially produced objects, images, and texts that various market actors use to construct and produce practices, identities and meanings.

About me

I am a doctoral student in marketing, focusing on sustainable fashion. In my ongoing research, I study the Swedish market for sustainable fashion. Some of the questions I raise are: How did the market emerge and take shape? What actors are involved in creating the market and how do they relate to each other? How is the market for sustainable fashion regulated? How do we argue for the existence of sustainable fashion? When is sustainable fashion sustainable?

As part of my ongoing research position, I engage in the societal debate on sustainable fashion. I give popular science lectures on the topic of fashion, sustainability, and alternative business models and act as an expert in multiple public engagements.
