About me

I am a PhD candidate whose research focuses on Public Law and especially on Educational Law and Child Law. I was the president and vice president of the Law Faculty’s PhD counsel during the autumn term of 2015 to the spring term in 2017. During that time I was a member of the Faculty Board, the Research Committee and the Department Committee.

I am a part of the Stockholm Centre for the Rights of the Child and the Institute for Educational Law. The Stockholm Centre for the Rights of the Child is located at Stockholm University and is a research centre and platform at Stockholm University. Our research activities focus on children's rights and legal issues relating to children in a broad spectrum of situations and within many different areas of law. The Institute for Educational Law is located at Uppsala University and the objective of the institute is to inspire and support research and education within the area of educational law in Sweden, in the broadest possible way.

Teaching Responsibilities

I teach at the basic course in Administrative Law and hold a seminar on the special course in Child Law. In addition to this, I also hold lectures and examination seminars at the Teacher Program within the framework of the Ethics and Law course. I also teach about abuse and discrimination in schools within the framework of the Head Teacher Program. During the spring of 2017, I also shared course responsibility for the course in Public Law on the Fast Track for Social Scientists Program.

About My Research

My research is within the area of public law and is primarily aimed at education and school law. My dissertation project deals with the schools' responsibility to prevent abusive treatment and discrimination (so called “bullying") of children, focusing on the effects of the legislation. Apart from my bigger dissertation-project I have researched and written texts and papers about teachers' violence against students, student violence against students, the ability of municipal principals to delegate decisions to school staff and the school authorities' supervision of schools.
