About me
Since March 2016, Marie is a pursuing joint PhD degree at the Department of Physical Geography, Stockholm University, and the Environment and Natural Resources programme at Iceland University. From a complex systems perspective, Marie’s research addresses the effects of natural resource availability and allocation on conflict risk and cooperation possibilities through computational modelling. Her PhD studies are part of an EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie project called Adaptation to a New Economic Reality (AdaptEconII) which aims for developing new economic thinking based on knowledge of global resource availability from a modelling and systems thinking perspective.
