About me
Ola Knutsson has a PhD in Human–Computer Interaction from KTH and is a senior lecturer and associate professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University.
His design oriented research focuses, in every project, on the overarching research question: How to include and empower the people who will use or be affected by the future digital system being designed? In order to answer this question, Knutsson studies participatory design of learning and work environments, with a special emphasis on democratic practises, tacit knowledge, creative methods and mutual learning.
In addition, Knutsson has a strong interest in the tools that are used for prototyping in interaction design. He is also the director of the bachelor programme in Interaction design at Stockholm University, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the open access journal Designs for Learning.

2007-2009: Participatory design of a mobile application for teenagers’ language homework ("Mobil läxhjälp", Vinnova, project participant)
