About me
I am currently a professor in data science at the Department of Computer and SystemsSciences at Stockholm University, the deputy-head of the same department since January 2022, and the head of the Data Science Group since September 2016.
Moreover, I am an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Aalto University, Finland. Finally I am Board member of the Swedish Artificial Intelligence Society (SAIS).

My research focus is on algorithmic data mining on large and complex data. Specifically I am interested in the following topics:

- interpretable and explainable machine learning
- searching and mining large and complex sequences
- learning from electronic health records
