About me

I am a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer and Systems Science, Stockholm University. My research and teaching focuses are conceptual and process modeling, process and service orientation, digital transformation, system integration, knowledge and decision support, data science (including AI), e-government and health informatics. I also contribute with knowledge about approaches such as design science, design thinking and system thinking.

I have participated in several research projects in both the private and public sectors, in collaboration with organizations such as Ericsson, Telia, the Swedish Pensions Agency, the City of Stockholm, the Regions of Stockholm and Västra Götaland. A large part of the research projects has been conducted in the area of health and social care. These projects have, for example, been about how IT support and other digital resources can support process- and service-oriented working methods. Over the past year, the research focus has been on digital innovations and data-driven solutions in health and social care, including AI solutions.

I have been a co-author of over 100 research articles, and of a book on design science, "Introduction to Design Science", published by Springer Verlag. A list of my publications can be found here: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=ndxHMYsAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao

I am also responsible for the master's program Open e-government. It is a distance program and has students from all over the world. The program focuses on the design of services, processes and various forms of digital solutions for the public sector.
