About me
I am a researcher in the firld of Earth and Space Sciences which means I use remote sensing to understand the dynamics of the Earth surface. Currently, I am working on a project funded by the Swedish National Space Agency to monitor water resources in Sweden with the help of the newest satellite data such as NISAR and SWOT.
Advanced Hydrology (Teacher assistant: Hydro-geodesy and InSAR for hydrological purposes)
Land-Water Risk Assessment and Management Methods (Teacher assistant: Optimization models for the cost-efficient water pollution mitigation)
Tellus I – Physical Geography, 15 credits (Stockholm University)
The course deals with hydrology, mass movements, rivers and flooding, oceans, coastlines, groundwater, the atmosphere and climate, arid regions, geomorphology, Quaternary geology, and global changes.
I use Remote Sensing and Radar data from satellites to understand changes on the surface of the Eartth, some examples of these changes are ground motion, water level and water extent change, etc. There is a wide range of satellite data to measure Earth surface dynamics, my experience is more with Radar data such as Radar images (a.k.a SAR images) and Radar altimeters (and laser). There are different ways to get usefull information from this data, I am more interested in InSAR and (recentely) Fully Focused altimetric processing methods.
