Network that gathers junior and senior researchers working with questions concerning privatisation and competition of services provided through the municipal personal social services in the Nordic countries.

The aim of this proposal is to map the current diversified field of foster care by using register data and by distributing a survey to municipalities nationwide.

Conflicting goals in compulsory care for young people?

Two thousand children and youth in eight municipalities will be subject to a prospective, longitudinal study of their trajectory through the child welfare system for six years. The study is conducted by an interdisciplinary research team with academic competence in social work, sociology, law and criminology, collaborating with FoU-Nordväst.
