My research work is developing sustainable bio-based composites from agricultural waste to replace fossil materials by applying green chemistry. Our group has previously successfully developed a variety of biomass fractionation methods. Currently, we are trying to modify the lignin structure to add the desired functionality. On this basis, fully bio-based functional composite materials will be prepared. Relevant characterization methods of composite materials will then be applied to evaluate the properties of our product. Environmental sustainability will be assessed by life cycle assessment
