I am a PhD student in the research group of Prof. Eva Hedlund. During my PhD studies, I will be studying intra- and intercellular miscommunication in ALS. For that, we will derive muscle cells and motor neurons from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and study cell-cell signalling between these two cell types, as well as intracellular miscommunication between nucleus and cytoplasm within motor neurons through different cellular and molecular biology techniques, including microfluidics, microscopy, single-cell RNA sequencing, proteomics and CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing.
