About me
Director for the test development and research group PRIM. The group has a main focus on assessment of knowledge and competence (mainly in the field of mathematics). Is also a senior lecturer at the Department of Teaching and Learning.
Works mainly with large-scale assessments in mathematics. Has project responsibility for the national tests in mathematics for grades 3, 6 and 9 and for course 1 at the upper secondary level (link). Is project manager for mathematics in the international studies PISA and TIMSS in Sweden (link). Included in the work on national entrance test for admission to higher education (link) and in the Swedish expert group for the PIAAC study.
Is also involved in the research school "Assessment of Knowledge in Educational Systems - ASSESS" (link) as coordinator, in the steering group and as a supervisor. Is the main supervisor for four PhD-students within the research school.
Lectures on assessment, quantitative methods and large-scale assessments (national and international) in mathematics. Has teaching in these areas at master's and postgraduate level.
Main supervisor for four PhD-students within the research school ASSESS.
My research interests are in the area of large-scale measurements of mathematical knowledge.
A specific research interest is within the field of validity in large-scale measurements of mathematical knowledge. This research interest includes questions about the relationship between international large-scale measurements and mathematical knowledge, in a national context. This includes interpretation as well as the use and the consequences of these large-scale measurements and results obtained from them.
Other research interests concerns the Swedish national exams in mathematics and covers questions about digitalization, student performance, assessment and results from national tests.
