jur. Dr. Katinka Svanberg is a senior lecturer in international law. She defended her dissertation on the UN Security Council Acting in a Legal Capacity with the example - the people's right to internal self-determination
, 800 s Jure, 2014. She also holds a postdoc from Melbourne University Law School, 2015 via an Australian Endeavor Fellowship and a postdoc from the University of Miami, Law School 2016/17. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Melbourne Law School 2019-2021.
Katinka has written several textbooks in international law, one in Treaty Law, An Introduction to Treaty Law 5 ed. Norstedt's Law 2015, the UN Charter and World Politics, where she is the main author of Ove Bring's book, the UN Charter and World Politics, 5 eds. Norstedt's Law, 2019, anthology Peace and Security Current Challenges in International Law, ed. Svanberg / Amnéus, 2005.
Katinka's research areas are the UN Charter and international peace and security, the people's right to self-determination, treaty law, responsibility to Protect, COVID-19 and Human Rights in an EU sponsored project, but also maritime law and private security contractors, she has recently worked with.
