Our research focuses on landscape patterns, climate and land use influence ecological processes, biodiversity and ecosystems.
Landscape Ecology

Our research focuses on landscape patterns and land use change that are important components for understanding ecological processes affecting biodiversity, ecosystem functions and services. To address research questions at different spatial and temporal scales we use a wide range of techniques and methods. We collect data through field inventories and experiments, remote sensing, interviews, citizen science, and historical data such as maps and museum collections. Our different group members work in all types of habitats and all over the world with topics like effects of climate change, conservation and restoration of diversity, ecosystem services and management of landscapes, seascapes and their associated resources.
