Research group The Substance Use Group (SUG)

The Substance Use Group (SUG) conducts teaching and research related to the use of legal and illegal substances (e.g., alcohol and other drugs) and behavioral problems (e.g., gambling).

Our research interests cover three main themes:

  1.  How ideology and policy related to substance use affect people’s lives
  2.  The study of interventions within municipal social services and regional healthcare
  3.  User perspectives on interventions, lifestyle change processes and living conditions

SUG meets four times per semester for seminars or workshops
