We examine how changes in aerosol emissions affect the general circulation (in the ocean and atmosphere), and precipitation.
Aerosol particles have a relatively short residence time in the atmosphere, resulting in an uneven spatial and temporal radiative forcing pattern, which can affect the general circulation and precipitation patterns differently compared to long-lived greenhouse gases.
