Research project Bridging the Gender Pay Gap through Transparency
The book project “Bridging the Gender Pay Gap through Transparency” is about the gender pay gap, civil society and application of the principle of equal pay for equal work.
Laura Carlson is currently an editor and author in the book project, “Bridging the Gender Pay Gap through Transparency”, concerning the gender pay gap, civil society and enforcement, to be published by Edgar Elgar 2023. This project looks at the rationales presented by governments, the social partners and civil society, often on how equal pay cannot be achieved, and looks at engagement and solutions, particularly transparency in light of the Commission’s 2022 proposed Directive to strengthen the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value between men and women through pay transparency and enforcement mechanisms.
