The study investigates the impact of generative AI on legal practice, focusing on how AI-driven tools are changing traditional legal workflows and decision-making processes. These technologies, such as large language models, are increasingly used for tasks like legal research, drafting, and document review. The research aims to explore how legal knowledge is constructed and shared through AI, how developers ensure their tools' legal validity, and how interactions between lawyers and developers influence legal decision-making. The project will conduct qualitative case studies on specific AI technologies in legal settings, providing empirical insights into their effects on the legal profession.
The project is a part of the overall WASP-HS project AI and Law.
