Research subject Level of Living Research

By level of living research is meant theoretically grounded empirical studies of individuals’ living conditions, where living conditions are measured by micro-level indicators (data on individuals).

Examples of living conditions include family life, education, working life, economic circumstances and health. Levels and distributions alike, as well as changes in levels and distributions, are central objects of study in level of living research. Both analyses of welfare development and of inequality (social stratification) are thus relevant.
