Gunnar von Heijne
Gunnar von Heyne's research has mainly focused on membrane proteins, the proteins in the cell membrane that, among other things, account for transport and signaling through the membrane. He is the head of the Center for Biomembrane Research at SU and one of Sweden's most cited researchers in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.
