Katrin Amann-Winkel at the Department of Physics has received Swedish Foundations’ Starting Grant equivalent to ERC’s Starting Grant. Swedish Foundations’ Starting Grant is a cooperation between five different Swedish foundations. Ragnar Söderbergs stiftelse will be funding Katrin Amann-Winkel’s project ”Probing the Glass-Liquid-Ice Transitions in Amorphous Water with X-rays."

The grant is approved with SEK 2.8 million per year, for up to five years, given that the grant holder continues to apply for the ERC Starting Grant.

Swedish Foundation’s Starting Grant addresses Sweden-based researchers that scored among the best in the latest ERC Starting Grant call but were not granted funding due to budget restraints.
