Research project Acquisition effects

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) are often motivated by increased financial productivity. At the same time, M&A have other significant effects – on employees, suppliers, customers, the environment and on society at large.

This project aims to broaden and deepen the understanding of M&A effects. It studies how various stakeholders are affected by M&A.

A deepened and more nuanced description of M&A effects to different stakeholders allow better handling – preventing and mediating – the negative consequences that can occur, while increase visibility for the positive effects that are often neglected. Thereby this project increases attention to a better understanding of the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has in M&A.
