Research subject Substance use
Substance use can lead to severe problems. The phenomenon is of key interest for social work.
The Department of social work has a long tradition of teaching and conducting studies in this area. We are interested in how substance use-related ideology and policy shape people’s lives. Our focus is on studying interventions provided by primarily social services, but also healthcare and NGOs. Our research covers themes such as user perspectives, recovery processes and living conditions.
