Middle East: An introduction
The course gives an introduction to the Middle East by presenting a number of central themes covering the historical, cultural, social and political development of the region.
The course will also cover the different perceptions of the region in the West and Middle East, historically as well as today.
In the course you will meet our professors and lecturers, who will present their favorite themes from the most resent and interesting research.
The aim of the course is to give the student a comprehensive overview and understanding of the Middle East.
No previous knowledge of the region is required.

Course structure
Modules
The course consists of one module covering 7.5 credits.
Teaching format
The instruction will consist of lectures and seminars. The lectures will be conducted English and online.

Assessment
The course is examined on the basis of a final exam in the form of a digital multiple-choice examination. The language of examination is English.
