Advanced Text Analysis II

This course provides in-depth training in reading and analyzing advanced non-fiction text in Arabic.

Within the course students will read and analyze different types of non-fiction text in Arabic texts, by focusing on the genres, contexts and authors of the chosen texts. The course will also deal with relevant theories and methods.

  • Course structure

    Teaching format

    Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminars. The language of instruction is English. Attendance at all teaching sessions is obligatory.

    Course details, lesson planning and other information can be found in the learning platform Athena one month before the course starts.

    Please note that only registred students have access to downloadable resources, like PDF documents, in Athena.

    Assessment

    The course is examined on the basis of a written assignment. The language of examination is English. For more detailed information, please refer to the course description published one month before the course starts.

  • Schedule

    The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
  • Course literature

    Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
