Sensory Biology, 15 credits

The course focusses on sensory systems and sensory organs in different animal groups. The course will cover a range of topics, from the physical properties of different sensory stimuli to how animals use their senses to guide their movement, communication and navigation. There will be a strong emphasis on comparisons between different animal groups, as well as on the evolution and development of sensory organs. The course involves lectures, laboratory work, seminars and project work.
