Management of Aquatic Resources in the Tropics, 15 credits

The course aims to provide an advanced and multidisciplinary insight into tropical ecology with a special emphasis on aquatic ecosystems, from lakes to coral reefs and the open ocean. The course focuses to a certain extent on the use of resources in these environments by humans, and thus the course contains aspects of such subjects as the economy of natural resources and ecotoxicology and conservation biology, alongside a systems ecology approach.
