Urban social-ecological systems, 15 credits

About this education

Knowledge about the relations between urbanisation and global and local challenges, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource deficiency, poverty, justice and health, is of key importance to ensure a sustainable development. This course is trans-disciplinary and urban possibilities and challenges are analysed by using a system approach where ecological, social and economic aspects are integrated. Linkages between science and practice are emphasized throughout the course.

Please note that the eligibility requirements will change during the application period. Even those who studied 75 hp architecture or urban planning will be eligible for the course. From October it is possible to apply for the course with the extended requirments with course code BL7055. Course period: March - June.
