Finnish I, 30 credits

The course is aimed at providing you with both practical skills in Finnish and with basic knowledge about Finnish structure and language preservation issues. Finnish literature and its history will also be covered during the course. You will also take a look at Finnish history, culture and modern social relationships. Skills in spoken and written Finnish are a prerequisite for taking this course. Teaching will be mostly in Finnish. If you are uncertain about your language skills, you may contact the study coordinator at the department.
