The contemporary French Novel
The course deals with some works from the current novel production in French in various parts of the world. The texts are linked to relevant contemporary social conditions, the modern novel's development as well as to theoretical issues relating to, among other things, post-colonialism, francophonie and world literature. Aesthetic
dimensions and cultural context are taken into consideration.
