Geographic Analysis and Visualization in GIS

  • 15 credits

For a geoscientist or geographer it is important to be able to collect and assess data from maps, establish geographic databases, and use digital data from various sources. It is just as important to be able to assess the content of survey data for analysis, compilation and presentation using geographic IT. The course is intended to give the skills needed to conduct a GIS based project at a drainage basin or municipality scale. To be able to manage this course you need good computer skills and practical experience in using Remote Sensing and GIS.

Further course information will appear soon on this page. Until then, information can be found on the department website.
