Minerals and Rocks, 15 credits

About the education

This is theoretical and

practical course about minerals and rocks. The course covers minerals,

igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, fossils, ores, petrographic

microscopy, and the description, identification and classification of

minerals, rocks, fossils and ores. Teaching methods can include lectures,

practical classes and field work. Part of the course is taught by distance.

Two week of the course take place on campus and in the field.
