Marine geology, Degree Project
Degree Project 60 credits
The independent work aims at giving insight into and experience of scientific work within marine geoscience. Planning, analyses and interpretations of the scientific task form a central part. Literature search, scientific report writing and oral presentations of the research results in seminars will be trained. The course provides knowledge and experience both for further academic studies and for employment in industry and the public sector.

Course structure
The course is given each term and can be started and ended any time during the term.
Together with the supervisor/s, the student establishes a project description which needs to be approved by the responsible professor.
Assessment
Examination includes both a written report and oral presentation of a scientific work in Marine Geology, and assessment of experimental and/or field-related skills.

Course literature
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
Will be based on scientific articles and reports and will be provided by the supervisor/s and searched for by the student.
