Eligibility
Admission to this course, including paper supervision and examination, requires a passing grade in all mandatory courses of the Law Programme. Students may apply for an exemption from the prerequisites through a form to be submitted to Department’s Registrar's Office. In connection with the registration on the course, students must also submit a project memorandum, in which they briefly describe the work they will undertake during the course.
Detailed instructions about how to apply for the course are found in the course description and on the course web page. Applications must be fully complete in order to be considered as having been handed in on time. A student whose application is submitted after the deadline for application but before the start of the course may be registered at a later date, on the condition that there are places left in the course.
The course manager for the term paper course, or any person they may appoint, distributes students between the various subject areas and appoints supervisors for the term paper. Students admitted to the course are not guaranteed to be able to write their term paper in a specific subject area. The possibility of writing one’s term paper within a specific subject area, as well as the distribution of students between the different subject areas are determined by the availability of supervision resources. Details about how priority is applied are found in course description.
