The course provides an overview of legal writing and critical approaches to law. The course covers different approaches to legal writing thus breaking down the whole process into different stages one has to undergo in drafting. Moreover, the emphasis will be on the discussion of how the law is being used to provide for different social arrangements and the hierarchy between them.

Is the law a matter of the legality of its norms, or it is more of a social and political fact? Can a lawyer make equally plausible, albeit diametrically opposite, arguments on the exact same facts? If so, does that meant that legal norms are indeterminate? These and similar other questions will be discussed thought the course.
