Cross-Cultural Understandings of Justice is given as an elective course within the framework of the summer programme at the Department of Law, Stockholm University. Read more about the Summer Programme at SULaw on the following page:

SULaw's Summer Programme

The course focuses on the study of cross-cultural conceptions of justice. After the course, students will have enhanced their ability to critically analyse fundamental concepts of law detached from conscious and unconscious cultural biases.

    Teaching format

    Instruction comprises 2 weeks of full-time studies and consists of lectures and seminars. During seminars, students will critically discuss course materials and / or answer problem questions.

    Assessment

    Examination is conducted through active participation in class, worksheets based on assigned materials and a group project.

    The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
