Welcome activities
Stockholm University organises a series of welcome activities that stretch over a few weeks at the beginning of each semester. The programme is voluntary (attendance is optional) and includes Arrival Service at the airport and an Orientation Day, see more details about these events below.

Course structure
The student participates under supervision in the daily activities of a research laboratory and performs tasks that are normally included in the work. The work is carried out in the field of organic chemistry.
Teaching format
The teaching consists of an introduction, internship with assignments in organic chemistry in a research-driven workplace. The practice takes place under supervision. The course is given in English.
Assessment
- Lab notes in logbook format. The logbook should be written in English
- Oral presentation in English
After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to:
- systematically plan for the tasks specified by the supervisor
- complete the tasks independently within the intended time
- search and evaluate relevant theoretical information
- critically assess situations and, if necessary, identify solutions
- appropriately document their own internship work in the form of a logbook
To pass the final grade, participation in the introduction and daily activities is required. Participation in daily activities should correspond to normal working hours.
