Gender Perspectives on Art and Visual Culture
The course discusses current gender-theory interpretation models in art history and visual culture studies.
Special attention is paid to representations of sex and gender in Western art and visual culture from modernity to the present day. The course focuses on how sex and gender, in interaction with other identity categories, influence the production and reception of art and visual culture.

Teaching format
Instruction is mandatory and given in the form of seminars. The language of instruction is English.
Assessment
The course is examined on the basis of oral and written assignments, as well as a take-home examination.
