An overview of practically useful statistical methods, and hands-on training in problem formulation, problem solving, communication and report writing within real statistical consulting.
The course only has a few places and is normally only avaliable for application within certain programmes, not as a separate course. Note that even if you are a programme student and can apply, you are not guaranteed a place on this course.
Overview of important statistical methods for practical statistical work: methods for statistical planning, explorative data analysis, statistical modelling and statistical inference. Training in problem formulation, problem solving and report writing in statistical consultancy.
The course consists of one module.
Instruction consists of seminars and project work. Participation in the seminars and project work is compulsory.
The course is assessed through written examination.
