Human Nutrition

The course includes theory, application and modern methodology in the area of human nutrition. Topics included are: the nutrients’ (protein, lipids, carbohydrates, dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals) properties, functions, regulation and metabolism; needs and states of deficiencies; appetite regulation; diet and nutrient recommendations and nutrient needs in different groups and during different types of physical activity.
